High Level Political Forum

The United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development’s second meeting will be held at the United Nations headquarters from 30 June to 9 July 2014. Members of the Future Justice team will be present highlighting the case for a High Commissioner for Future Generations.

Catherine Pearce, Future Justice Director will be speaking on the panel: “Ideas and trends that can shape the lives of present and future generations,”  taking place on the 1 July.  Please see our events page for more detailed information.

The UN Sustainable Development Platform has further information about the second meeting of the High Level Political Forum including briefing papers, previously agreed organisational agreements and a full draft programme. See here for more.

Finally the UN has invited individuals to engage with the meeting through social media.  We would encourage you all to take advantage of this opportunity to highlight the need for a High Commissioner for Future Generations.
